Phil definitely was a gnostic
Phil definitely was a gnostic. He said so, himself. But he was not an apologist for organized religion. At one time, he was a devout Episcopalian, but his friendship with Bishop Pike led him into a similar heresy. ~~ Tessa Dick 13.12.2017
Uroboros: Explanation of (Neo) Gnosticism according to the writer Philip Kindred Dick[Copyright ©]
Full explanation of Dickian Gnosticism.
INTRODUCTORY WORD
At the outset of this detailed study, it is worth pointing out that Dick’s (Neo) Gnosticism (in English named as Phildickian Gnosticism)[1] by the writer Philip Kindred Dick[2] is based on direct knowledge – PKD gnosis. His gnosis, however, contains his subjective reflection of inner knowledge from direct contact with the Divine, and also his complete understanding of both (ancient) and (new) Gnosticism, at the level of his detailed knowledge. As to PKD’s knowledge, it is good to note that he had detailed knowledge ranging from Greek philosophy to knowledge of world religions, even the lesser known ones. He personally was closest to the Christian tradition, but he understood this in his own subjective terms, even on the basis of direct knowledge – his gnosis was based on direct contact with the Divine. So he was certainly not an orthodox Christian, or according to (ancient) gnosis…

Real Weirdo, starring Philip K. Dick — Anthony Alvarado
Here is a short comic I wrote awhile back. It’s based on a weird experience Philip K. Dick, (a minor obsession of mine) talked about in various interviews. The art is by Ryan Thompson. William Sarril comment on PKD
I like to think of PKD as a deeply flawed (and very human) saint. He was a cracked vessel into which a divine elixir had been poured. What's painfully obvious in the Exegesis is the extent to which he struggled with the magnitude of the vision entrusted to him. He never stopped growing and he... Continue Reading →
Dick’s Gnosis
Dick's Gnosis: In his Exegesis, Dick refers to an agoraphobic incident where, attending a Horowitz Brahm's concert, he panicked and fled the auditorium. Later, he realized this "potentially disastrous event formed the very basis" of his life; represented not his own fears, but his actual freedom--the freedom of his own actions that terrorized surrounding accomplished... The Birth of Phildickian Gnosticism. Tim BOUCHER 2005
Earlier today we witnessed the birth of Phildickian Gnosticism, a term which has already caught on several other places. As a follow-up to that, Fantastic Planet also put together the first part of what promises to be an excellent series on varieties of modern gnosticism. Chief among these are: (1) so-called “Bullshitian Gnosticism” (New Age... Continue Reading →

Man, Android and machine
Philip K. Dick, 1975 Within the universe there exist fierce cold things, which I have given the name "machines" to. PKD, VALIS, and Practices of Ultra Meta-Cognition – Nura Learning
DID PHILIP K. DICK EXPERIENCE PURE CONSCIOUSNESS? It is the hypothesis of this course that writer Philip K. Below are iterations of excerpts from the book, The Exegesis of Philip K. Dick written by Philip K. Dick. The objective of this project is to type-set this text focusing on format, layout, visuals. The first step was to compile the scans of the chosen text into one document. We were then assigned to design multiple iterations of one chapter/folder from the book. (seen below)
Next step is designing the whole book. Wow, that was fast! Hold on for this bumpy ride.
T3 – The Exegesis, Philip K. Dick. 2
part 2
Here are pics of what my final format will be. A two-column grid was the format. Body copy filling in the larger grids while smaller text will sit in the skinnier one. Black and magenta text fill the pages. A few changes but the book is almost ready to be sent off to print. Wow, what a feeling of fear, anxiety and excitement.
Check out some iterations of spreads below.
Keep checking in. The final product will be here soon!

The dust jacket, along with the sleeve truly tied the book together.

Critique today. Below are some pics. We covered the tables, played a game of duck, duck, goose and spent some time with everyones book. It was a silent critique. There wasn’t much conversation or communication. I did receive lots of feedback. This will only help me as I move forward continuing to make edits.

COSMIC COWBOY: Philip K. Dick’s Paranoid Gnosticism, or, the Theology of Superhero Anarchism – By John Bedell (Archive)
Source – benedante.blogspot.ca
– Science fiction writer Philip K. Dick considered himself a prophet. His stories, he thought — Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report, The Adjustment Bureau — might be set in the real future, to which he had access through his visions. Simon Critchley has a series of articles at the Times web site on Dick’s theology that I find fascinating. It strikes me that in one way Dick was a prophet, because his paranoid view of the universe seems to explain much of what has happened in our popular culture over the past 40 years.
Dick’s spiritual arc began with an event that his followers call “the golden fish”:
On Feb. 20, 1974, Dick was hit with the force of an extraordinary revelation after a visit to the dentist for an impacted wisdom tooth for which he had received a dose of sodium pentothal. A young woman…

COSMIC COWBOY: Did The Late Science Fiction Author Philip K. Dick Disclosed The Real Matrix in 1977? (Archive)
Source – decryptedmatrix.com
– “…From 1974 until his death in 1982, Dick spent many nights writing in this journal. A recurring theme in Exegesis is PKD’s hypothesis that history had been stopped in the 1st century AD., and that “the Empire never ended”. He saw Rome as the pinnacle of materialism and despotism, which, after forcing the Gnostics underground, had kept the population of Earth enslaved to worldly possessions. Dick believed that VALIS had communicated with him, and anonymous others, to induce the impeachment of U.S. President Richard Nixon, whom Dick believed to be the current Emperor of Rome incarnate”:

COSMIC COWBOY: ‘Pulling the Cosmic Trigger’, the Contact Experiences of Philip K Dick & Robert Anton Wilson – By Ak Wilks
Source – steamshovel.press
– “In February and March of l974, Phil had amazing contact experiences that changed his life. He would spend the rest of his life trying to figure out what exactly happened, and who or what was responsible. His theories included mental illness at one end, to direct contact with God at the other end. In between were the theories of contact with an alien race, time travelers, an AI (Artificial Intelligence) computer from the future, a government agency or a secret society”:
– This article will look at some of the similarities between the contact experiences of two American writers, Philip K Dick and Robert Anton Wilson. In the 1973-1974 time frame, both would have unusual experiences that they thought could be contact with an extraterrestrial civilization. Or some undefinable something that wanted them to think it was extraterrestrial. And as incredible as it sounds, some of…

Cosmogony and Cosmology
Anamnesis is the birth, in essence the offspring of two parents: a human being and the Holy Spirit. Without the entry into the human being of the Holy Spirit, the event cannot occur. The Holy Spirit is, of course, the Pons Dei. It is the link between the two realms.
Plasmate
The plasmate is one of the strongest links between ancient Gnosticism and the modern Phildickian variety. Phil believed that in December of 1945 something of world shaking occurred. It was in this year that a shepard, Mohammed Ali Samman, set out into the mountains near his village in search of fertilizer. Instead, he found a... Continue Reading →

Phildickian Gnosticism – Many religions of Philip K. Dick
Phildickian Gnosticism is the most difficult to define, or at least to define well. At its base, Phildickian Gnosticism is just a Gnostic variant named after the person who developed or popularized it. The mythology Valentinus expanded, for example, is usually known as Valentinian Gnosticism. Therefore it's pretty easy to simply say that Phildickian Gnosticism... Continue Reading →
